Hi I bought two POL hybrids 3 months ago, one little brown chicken and a lovely big bluebell. They both started laying after about three weeks, with the bluebell having varying sizes of eggs about every other day. But then after about three weeks the blue one looked very ill for about 48 hrs, we adminstered worming powder to their feed for seven days and put a supplement in the water. She has since recovered and is doing everything that is normal but has not started laying again. Apart from one shellless egg and a couple of mis-shapen eggs that had dark bits in the white. We have added a rescue chicken( ex-freerange organic layer) about a month ago and she and the other brown chicken are laying normally.
