Hi, recently got a 30wks old chicken 6 weeks ago, she does smellie brown poos, instead of the normal 2 tone ones! She is fine in herself and laying well, but we are rather concerned about her, any ideas please?

Hi I have included a link below for you to look at, make sure you have eaten first. Is it your only chicken, and what are you feeding her? A healthy dieat would consist of layers pellets or mash, this contains all the vitamins a minerals your chickens needs. This can be supplemented occassionally with fresh greens, cabbage, spinach, clean grass parsley etc. A good deterrent from parasites would be to use garlic flakes on her food and apple cider vinegar in her drink just a small sthingy weekly. Live natural yoghurt will keep her digestive system working properly and cottage cheese is a good calcium boost. But first take a look at the link below, it's an eye opener Let me know how you get on. chat.allotment.org.uk/index.php?PHPSESSID=7af5db5a9b8f720df4e2c1b00717d6c5&topic=17568.0Stu

Hi Stu Many thanks for your help. Feel more reassured now tho 1 of them (we have 3) still does white watery ones ! She gets a good diet but sneezes a fair bit but we're treating her with High Stability Active Silver. We'll see what happens.....Happy New Year to you.
