Hi,
I have had 4 ex battery hens for a week now. They are a bit tatty but on the whole ok. The still haven't realised that they have to put themselves away yet, so I am having to wait until they roost and then pick them up......I have noticed that one is very hot on the under carriage and legs and she is laying down/ sitting a lot in the paddock. Can she be broody? I don't think that she is laying yet. If not please can you tell me what else it may be. I am worming them at the moment. They are in with my other 4 Black Rocks and 4 Sussex Whites, who are laying and are in the same shed at night.
